CEMAS and the Swedish Institute of International Affairs organized a conference on maritime violence and state formation that took place in Stockholm, 3-5 May 2012.
The proceedings of the conference were published by Palgrave Macmillan as Persistent Piracy: Maritime Violence and State-Formation in Global Historical Perspective in 2014.
